What makes Open Throttle Doorlights different from other alternatives?
Traditional film-based car door projectors often degrade over time due to heat and environmental exposure, causing the image to warp, fade, or blur. This results in diminished visual quality after just a few months, particularly in hotter climates.
In contrast, our glass lens door projectors offer a far more durable solution. Using fade-proof glass, they resist heat and wear, ensuring that the image remains sharp and vibrant for years:
1. Fade-Proof Durability: Glass lenses resist heat and environmental wear, ensuring the image remains clear and vibrant over time.
2. Sharper Image Quality: Glass lenses deliver crisp, high-definition projections with better clarity and detail than traditional film.
3. Longer Lifespan: Unlike film, glass lenses don't warp, fade, or deteriorate, offering reliable performance for years.
4. Heat Resistance: Glass is far more resilient to heat, preventing damage from prolonged use in hot climates or under high temperatures.
How long will these door lights last?
We offer a two-year warranty on our lights. The special PHILLIPS LED chipset we use is rated for an impressive 50,000 hours, ensuring it will last significantly longer than two years. Many other lights tend to fade within 1-2 months because they use a low-quality plastic film instead of a durable nano glass lens. The heat generated by those lights can warp and degrade the film, leading to fading. In contrast, our glass lens can withstand temperatures up to 1400°C, whereas commercial low-density polyethylene film melts at just 105°C
Do you design and make these door lights?
Yes we strictly DO NOT dropship. This is evident in our custom logos as you WILL NOT find them anywhere else - we handle every aspect of the our Door Lights in-house, from design and testing to assembly, packing, and shipping. Our components, including LED boards and lenses, are custom-made exclusively for our products. I don't see a design for my car, what can I do?
We currently have over 30 different unique logos in stock - if none of them suit we offer fully custom door lights where you imagination is the limit!
How do I install the door light projectors?
Installation is easy and requires no special tools. Our projectors are designed for a plug-and-play setup. Most installations take less than 2 minutes per door.
Detailed instructions are included, and our expert support team is available to help if needed.
Can I install these lights on multiple doors?
Yes, our door projectors are sold in pairs, but you can easily purchase additional sets for all your doors, ensuring a fully customized look for your entire vehicle.
Will the M3 logo work on my 3 series?
Short answer is yes - As the M4 and 4 Series share the same OEM light - the logo will work. Although up badging is not recommended for moral reasons - we won't tell!
How do I know if your lights will fit my BMW?
Any of the last four options—BMW M, BMW M Performance, BMW Classic, or BMW 50th—are universal logos. Each option will include a dropdown menu where you can enter your year and model to guarantee a perfect fit.
The other M specific models are each labelled to avoid confusion.
Can I return the lights if I am not happy?
Of course, we offer a 30 day return period on our door lights if you are not happy with them.

What is the warranty on Open Throttle door lights?
We offer an extended warranty on all our doorlights, covering any manufacturer defects or functional issues for 24 months.

How do I initiate a return?

Will I have to pay import taxes to my country?
No - our team will take care of everything start to finish - if import taxes are requested for the lights - we will cover all fees.
How long does it take to get my item?
We ship all in stock models the same day if ordered before 3PM EST - Monday to Saturday.
Am I responsible if my package is lost during transit?
No you will not be responsible. We ship all our packages with insurance. If your package is lost, please reach out to us, and we will send you a replacement within 24 hours after investigating the issue
